What can I say about Mas’ Kagurazaka apartment? The apartment was immaculate and well appointed. When you walk into the apartment you’ll be struck by how attractive it is. However, you’ll gradually see all of the details and thought that has gone into the apartment. Carefully curated furniture, linens, plates, and accessories, gave it a home away from home feel. It was really like having my own pied-à-terre in Tokyo! The location was fantastic. In very chic Kagurazaka, you’ll get a taste for old and new Tokyo. You’ll find the most charming winding alleys that lead to exclusive Japanese invitation only restaurants (ryotei) as well as a healthy number of French (really good French) restaurants in the neighborhood as well. It is definitely like “staying at your cool friend’s pad in Tokyo.” Kagurazaka is a conveniently located place. Only about 5 minutes by foot to the JR Train Station (even less to the subway station) and located in central Tokyo, you’ll be able to get just about anywhere easily. Or if you want to take a taxi, there are a ton in the area in the evening that can wisk you away to your desired location. (Not really as expensive as you’d think.) Mas is a fantastic host. He was so accommodating and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. He made an extensive list of options for a party I wanted to throw at a restaurant in Kagurazaka. With his help, I was able to host a party for 12 of my friends in a charming restaurant (that my Japanese friends even were impressed with). I’m so grateful for his help with making my party a success. Mas’ Kagurazaka apartment was just lovely. It makes me want to pick up and move to Tokyo just to live in Kagurazaka. I highly recommend for anyone who wants a quiet place outside of the bustling tourist spots where they can get a taste for a higher echelon of Tokyo.
