I booked this room not knowing Tokyo at all, hoping that it might be in a good spot. I really wasn’t disappointed.
From the pictures you can see the room is immaculate with fantastic amenities. The Internet is high-speed, sound system awesome, bathroom luxurious and decor cool.
What I wasn’t expecting was its perfect spot, just one row back from the coolest little street I’ve found in the city. It’s a little French inspired district oozing with character. Full of restaurants (I urge you to go to the one down the hill with the plastic doors and buckets of seafood outside for the tuna cheek, just 1200 and enough for 2 people) and bars. You instantly feel at home.
There are very few tourists but you don’t feel out of place. Plus it is close to the transport links at Iidabashi to get anywhere in the city within 20 minutes.
I honestly can’t speak highly enough of the place. I’m in Tokyo for a month, yet only booked it for a week. Somebody else booked the following week before I decided to stay, meaning I had to move to a hotel for a week… before returning once again.
Mas is a great host who will tell you anything you need to know, then leave you to it with his number in case you need him. Exactly the way it should be
